What Your Home Is Saying About Your Life

Hello!

This week I had a consultation with Becky from Iowa. We've worked together a few times before and I always enjoy connecting with her. You know what? It really got me thinking a lot about my upbringing, growing up in Iowa, and how my deep connection to nature really helped me find this special work.

Today's episode is a little different... and honestly, it's one I've been wanting to record for a while.

I'm pulling back the curtain and sharing some of the nudges that helped me find my way into this work. Not the polished version you might read on my website, but the real story and how I felt called to create the Intuitive Home Method.

One story I share in the episode has stayed with me for years. Two clients. Same street. Homes built by the same builder. Both homes were absolutely beautiful. But you'd walk into one and feel completely at home and then you'd walk into the other and feel totally stressed out. That difference is what sent me deeper into feng shui and energy work, and boy, it has sure changed my whole career.

I also share a journal prompt in this episode that I've been using since the very first episode of this podcast and it's just as good now as it was then!!!

If your home were a metaphor for your life, what is it saying?

Sit with that one for a minute or better yet pull out your journal!

Whether your home is reflecting overwhelm, stress, fear, or growth there's usually a reason. And the answer is often much more simple than you'd expect.

I hope this episode gives you a little more context for the work I do and why I believe so deeply in it. Thank you, as always, for being here with me!

Warmly, Lisa Morton

What Your Home Is Saying About Your Life: And Why I Became Obsessed With The Answer

Season 3 Episode 42

In this week’s episode of Feng Shui Living, I share more about the personal history that shaped my work today. I grew up on a grain farm in Iowa, where living closely with the land, seasons, and natural cycles quietly formed the foundation of how I relate to space. Even as a child, I was highly sensitive to my environment and could sense when a space felt calm, alive, or stagnant long before I had language for it.

From design school to residential interior design (and eventually luxury private aircraft interiors) each stage of my career deepened a simple realization: beautiful spaces don’t automatically feel good. And that question has guided my entire career!

Hello! I recently had Stephanie Denson on the podcast, and I found myself thinking about our conversation for days afterward. She's the founder of Spirit and Space, a professional organizing company, and what struck me most wasn't her tips on decluttering, it was her approach to the emotional side of letting go. Stephanie shared a story about a client named Sue who was ready to move to a senior living community. She had found the perfect apartment. But when it came time to downsize, she felt...

Happy, Sunny Day! Wow… life has felt really exciting lately. I just got back from a trip to Canada for a mini book tour, and I have to say...I met some of the most amazing women. The kind you just know you’ll never forget. I'm so grateful for the wonderful woman who helped me organize the festivities - Magda, thank you! On my way home, I found myself reflecting (as I tend to do on long trips)… and while I’ve loved some of the deeper, more introspective episodes lately, I could also feel the...

Happy, Sunny Day! I hope your week is going well so far! I'm excited to share that I'll be in the Toronto area for book events Thursday through Sunday. If you're in the area please reach out. Always love to meet my listeners in person! After more than a decade of offering energy work in homes, yoga studios, offices, and clinics around the world, this past week brought a first for me… I worked on a barn in Maine. It was a space with many layers and quite a bit ready to shift, and I’m happy to...
