Your calendar is a room, too.

Hello!

It’s been a few weeks since the Aligned Sanctuary retreat, and I’m still feeling it.

In fact, as I’m prepping this newsletter, I’m in Madison, Wisconsin, attending a retreat hosted by Jen Heller, who was one of the special guest speakers at Aligned Sanctuary. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to speak to her group about Feng Shui and the energy of your home. Wow, what a great group of women. I have one more day of connection and great conversation to go, and I can’t wait.

It has me thinking, though. I feel like so many women are craving time with other women. I don’t mean a quick coffee squeezed in between appointments or another group text. I mean real time together, where we can slow down, talk openly and feel understood. We spend so much of our lives taking care of everyone else that we don’t always notice how much we’ve missed it until we’re sitting in a room with women who just get it.

That’s why I’m hosting another retreat this spring. I shared a while back that it was coming, but after this weekend I feel it even more. This is the right thing, and I’m so excited about it. If you felt a little tug reading this.... applications are open now.

And speaking of paying attention to what feels right…

This week’s episode of Feng Shui Living is about looking at your schedule the same way I look at a home. Where does it flow? Where does it feel stuck? I share five ways to feng shui your life and your calendar, including a simple little check I call the dread test.

This week, try this: Pick one evening and leave it completely open. Write “open” on your calendar in big bold letters if that helps you protect it. Then don’t fill it.

As always, thank you so much for being here with me.

Warmly, Lisa Morton

Hello! On the last afternoon of the Aligned Sanctuary retreat, I planned our closing ceremony for 3pm. I wanted everyone to have plenty of time to catch flights or get on the road well before dark. So we closed the circle, I opened up a little extra free time... and fully expected the women to start packing up. The next time I looked at my watch it was 5:15. Every single one of them was still here. At some point my husband went out and fired up the lawnmower, which I'm fairly certain was his...

Hello! The Aligned Sanctuary Retreat was every bit as special as I'd dreamt it would be. I'm still coming down from the excitement (and resting my feet!). What a lovely experience it was to host eight special women in my home, share knowledge with them, and actually see the shifts and a-ha moments happen right in front of me. There's really nothing like watching someone look around a room and suddenly see it differently. And of course, there was plenty of spoiling, too. Good food, good...
