The best review I could have recieved 🏡

Hello!

On the last afternoon of the Aligned Sanctuary retreat, I planned our closing ceremony for 3pm. I wanted everyone to have plenty of time to catch flights or get on the road well before dark.

So we closed the circle, I opened up a little extra free time... and fully expected the women to start packing up. The next time I looked at my watch it was 5:15. Every single one of them was still here.

At some point my husband went out and fired up the lawnmower, which I'm fairly certain was his gentle way of flickering the lights. (It worked, eventually!)

That moment meant more to me than any review could. When people don't want to leave a space, it tells you something about how that space made them feel.

In this week's episode of Feng Shui Living, Maggie Kitch joins me to share the behind-the-scenes of my very first retreat, from how I prepared my home to the favorite moments neither of us will forget.

And speaking of gathering with wonderful women... I'm heading to Madison, Wisconsin in mid-October to speak at Jen Heller's Create Space event, sharing about my work and my book, Aligned at Home. If you're anywhere nearby, I would love to see you there and give you a real-life hug.

If you've been dreaming about some slow time for yourself, applications are open for our spring 2027 retreat. You can find the application on the Retreat tab of my website.

Thank you so much for being here with me.

Warmly, Lisa Morton

P.S. It's not too late to join tonight's Aligned at Home Collective call at 7:00 PM (ET) where I'll be teaching all about Kitchen Feng Shui. Sign up for a single month or stay for a while.

Season 4 Episode 6

In this special interview episode, Lisa sits down with Maggie Kitch for a behind-the-scenes conversation about the very first Aligned Sanctuary women’s retreat, from the intentional preparation of the home to the unexpected moments and meaningful realizations that unfolded over the weekend. They reflect on what the experience taught them about creating space for rest, connection, and flow, and share simple ways to bring that same intention into your own home and gatherings.

Hello! The Aligned Sanctuary Retreat was every bit as special as I'd dreamt it would be. I'm still coming down from the excitement (and resting my feet!). What a lovely experience it was to host eight special women in my home, share knowledge with them, and actually see the shifts and a-ha moments happen right in front of me. There's really nothing like watching someone look around a room and suddenly see it differently. And of course, there was plenty of spoiling, too. Good food, good...

Hello! I read something years ago in Gay Hendricks' book The Big Leap that has stuck with me ever since: right before you're about to uplevel, do something big, or step into something meaningful, there's often a hiccup. It's not a sign to stop, but more like your body and your life doing one last check-in. Asking you..."Are you sure you want this?" Well, this week gave me a very real taste of that. Our washer and dryer reached the end of their life... totally normal, no big deal. Except the...
